This is a late Ching dynasty (1644 to 1912) hairpin using multiple materials.
The blue leaves are covered with kingfisher feathers.
The centre is made of gilded silver with some surviving kingfisher feathers.
The central red bead is glass.
The flower petals are made out of jade.
The pin is copper alloy (probably bronze) with silk bindings.
This is one of the favorite hairpins of the Hairpin Museum' curator.
